Bonita Falls

Bonita Falls is split into three spectacular tiers and has a canyon set naturally above two extra waterfalls. Without doubt, this falls is the Victorville’s main delight. You want to visit this spot from January to May because this is when the two extra falls appear due to the rainy seasons. If you are looking for a place you can spend some time alone, then Bonita Falls could be your best bet.

Barrel House

This is a few seconds away from the Route 66 Museum. Like many other attractions, Barrel House boasts of a long rich history you cannot afford to miss. Initially, it doubled up as restaurant and a jewelry store, but later on, it turned into a great liquor store.

Route 66 Museum

Residents of Victorville know too well what Route 66 Museum is all about. It is perhaps the lifeblood of tourism in the city. There is this drag which by itself, is a tourist attraction and leads to other great attractions. And don’t forget, there are lots of museums along the Route 66, but there is one which stands at the top of the rest; the Drag, Route 66 Museum. The Drag features a lot of signs as well as history from ancient times on the road. It is free to visit and has a photograph collection of all attractions on the Southern California stretch.

Silverwood Recreational Facility

Around the Victorville city, it is hard to put a finger and single one hiking trail as the best. There are quite many that are worth your precious time and money. The Silverwood Lake Recreation area boasts of amazing trails that stand along the southern lake shores. The canopy forest provides natural shades, making the trails a superb place to visit during the day and at night.

At this facility, you will also experience nice lake views especially if you select specific points along the trails. And you are to experience wildlife at the facility. Mule, mountain lions, coyotes and gray foxes are some of the animals to see during the day. There are also chipmunks, ground squirrels and bush rabbits that call this facility home. Take a day to have wonderful experience here.

John Arc Catholic Church

The church’s history dates back to 1922 and it features the finest architectural structures in the city. A number of pastors and priests have served the congregation here, but Father “Beary” can be remembered mostly because he was welcomed by the parish as the first pastor.

First National Bank

This bank first opened its doors back in 1918. It boasted of 186 depositors from a population of 800 people in the city. As far as security was concerned, the depositors had nothing to fear because the bank went ahead and installed manganese safe and an electric vault. Today, the bank is no more; but the building still stands as a local treasure.

Victor Valley Memorial Park

Victorville is a unique memorial park because this is where age old grinding stones were excavated, thus a sure evidence that the Native Americans once called it home.
